Biography

Confucius says, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” From middle school to college, the learning and teaching of mathematics has been a labor of love. I have had excellent teachers and professors from my middle school years and throughout my college years who have encouraged and guided me to become a teacher of mathematics.

Deeply committed to student success, I blend rigorous instruction with mentorship to help students build confidence in their mathematical ability, critical thinking skills, and their ability to see the application of  these skills in real-life contexts.

Beyond the classroom, I continue to contribute to Coppin State University’s mission of empowering students and strengthening the community through four annual scholarships, and Huber Memorial’s HOPE Academy, a Pre-K through fifth grade elementary school.
